​Claire Cole BaDipEd. MSLP. SPAA. CPSP

Claire is both a trained Speech and Language Pathologist and Primary School Teacher with over 17 years’ experience.

Claire began her career at the Macquarie University Special Education Centre where she developed and implemented the MultiLit Reading Program. Claire then went on to work in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs as a speech pathologist at the Speech, Language and Literacy Centre.

 

In March 2006, Claire moved with her husband to London where She worked as a primary school teacher.  In July 2006, she moved to Edinburgh where she held the position of Highly Specialised Speech and Language Pathologist for three years.

 

Upon returning to Sydney in 2009, Claire contracted as a speech and language pathologist to Lifestart – a registered charity offering early childhood intervention and school aged services to children with additional needs and to Speech Pathology Services in Burwood – a private practice servicing children in the Burwood area. 

 

In 2015, she opened Claire Cole Speech Pathology in Balmain and in 2016 she opened an additional office in McMahons Point to cater for the increasing number of referrals she was receiving from the north side. 

 

Claire has extensive experience working with children aged 8 months-18 years old with speech, language and literacy difficulties.  She has a particular interest in the assessment and treatment of reading disorders and stuttering.

 

Claire is a member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and is involved in the association’s Professional Self-Regulation Program, which requires regular participation in professional development courses and training.
